Are you passionate about the well-being of animals and seeking a fulfilling career in higher education? South Dakota State University Animal Resource Wing is looking for a self-motivated and dependable individual to join our team.

Job Responsibilities: Care and feeding of animals housed in the Animal Resource Wing. Assist with research projects as necessary.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Knowledge of:

* Ability to recognize animal health problems

* Animal handling techniques

* Basic understanding of biosecurity

* Basic computer knowledge and knowledge of Microsoft Office

Skill & Ability to:

* Interpret and follow written and oral instructions pertaining to research projects and animal management.

* Make decisions effectively and accurately in an environment which may be fast paced or changing.

* Work effectively and cooperatively in a team environment.

* Clearly, effectively, and respectfully communicate with employees and research team members.

Required License: Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

* At least one year of animal care in either an agriculture or research setting. This includes caring for, cleaning, feeding, and monitoring of the animals.
