This senior accountant role is an outstanding opportunity for a skilled accountant to work with an awesome team and use the breadth of his/her skill set to impact the college. You will manage a wide range of duties from analyzing, reconciling, and reviewing financial accounts, compiling, and analyzing financial information, maintaining fixed assets, assisting with month-end and year-end financial closings.

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions which include accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local corporate, payroll, and other applicable taxes and filings
• Lead the month end and annual close processes for your areas of responsibility
• Leverage the full range of your skills as you work with a variety of systems
• Enjoy visibility onsite and within the larger, company-wide business office accounting team
• Make an impact daily by continuing excellent service when working with internal (faculty and staff) and external vendors (students, parents, auditors, and vendors)
• Other accounting related functions as needed

Requirements:Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college, preferably in Accounting or Finance or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relatable work experience.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of accounting or finance related experience
CPA preferred, but not required
Excellent skills in Excel (pivot tables, vlookups) and Word preferred
Strong understanding of GAAP and experience with general ledger accounting
