The South College Asheville Physician Assistant Program is seeking highly motivated, innovative, and team-oriented individuals for the position of full-time principal faculty to join our new, accredited PA program in Asheville, North Carolina. The mission of the South College Master of Health Science in Physician Assistant Studies program is to educate highly qualified and diverse physician assistants, preparing them to become competent, compassionate, and comprehensive healthcare providers for clinical practice in rural and urban areas. Our program is committed to increasing the diversity in our profession and offering a welcoming inclusive environment to faculty and students and staff.

General Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction to and evaluation of PA students

• Provide input during the self-assessment and evaluation of the program

• Assist in the continuous review and compliance of federal, state, and accrediting activities

• Plan scholarship and service activities

• Participate in student advising, student admissions, and committees as assigned

Minimum Requirements

• Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited PA program

• Current NCCPA certification

• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies

• Eligibility for medical licensure (must secure upon hire if not currently held)

• Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience with a preference for previous teaching experience
