Job Summary:
The non-registered radiographer performs under the indirect supervision of a registered technologist. They are required to perform a variety of duties within their realm of knowledge and training to include producing diagnostic radiographs, assisting in CT and other modalities within radiology, working in a clerical position and the transporting of patients.
Qualifications:
Education:
Must be enrolled in an approved Radiologic Technology Program
Must have passed all clinical competencies administered.
Licensure:
Upon completion of program must be eligible to apply for Mississippi State Board of Health Medical Radiation Technologist license and ARRT.
Certification:
Current CPR/BLS certification

The Non-registered radiographer is expected to practice safe procedures and adhere to radiation safety measures under the supervision of a registered radiographer. Specific duties may include but are not limited to:

The Non-Registered Technologist must understand and accept the possibility of exposure to inside environmental conditions, such as radiation, noise, infectious/communicable diseases, blood and blood-borne diseases, chemicals and/or chemical fumes, odors, gases and dusts. Frequent exposures to distressed patients, families or visitors.
