WORK SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Full-time, may include some weekends.

LOCATION: South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities, Greenville, SC

Minimum Requirements: Experience in custodial, housekeeping or pest control work that is directly related to the area of employment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge to properly carry out custodial and housekeeping tasks; knowledge of custodial and housekeeping requirements; knowledge of safety practices relative to the areas of employment; skill in the use of cleaning tools and equipment.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for long periods of time, walk, bend, reach, grasp and lift up to 30 lbs.

SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES: The person in this position will use appropriate cleaning products to clean offices, classrooms, corridors, stairwells, lobbies, game room, restrooms, elevator doors and tracks, windows within reach, storefront doors (with the exception of the cafeteria), laundry facilities, dormitory rooms and fitness equipment. Vacuums rugs, carpets and upholstered furniture. Dusts furniture and fixtures. Sweep, mop, scrub floors, including gymnasium floor. Disposes of trash and recycles appropriate materials. Following established South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities (SCGSAH) facilities protocol, inspects the campus building to ensure they are properly maintained, reports any problems to supervisor, and develops solutions when called upon. Maintains an adequate level of supplies and equipment, contacts supervisor for additional supplies when needed. Performs other related duties as required.
