OVERVIEW
The Web Developer will be responsible for the support & development of internal and external web applications, as well as database services, for the applicable functional areas of the South Carolina Education Lottery (SCEL.) This position is at-will and will not be covered by the South Carolina State Employee Grievance Procedure Act.
RESPONSIBILITIES
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, or similar field of study, with 3-5 years of relevant work experience. (Additional and/or related work experience will be considered for education equivalency.)
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES
The Web Developer must have: (1) Proficiency with .net Framework, MVC Framework, Blazor, Mud Blazor, Azure, TFS, MS Visual Studio, VB, C , IIS, , MS SSIS, ASP.net, vb.net, HTML, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, PGP and SFTP; (2) A solid understanding of the inner workings of applications, including security, session management and best practices for development; (3) The ability to work efficiently independently, as well as in a team environment; (4) The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, by dealing courteously and effectively with others; (5) The ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing; (6) The ability to exercise good judgment and discretion; (7) The ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks; (8) Excellent organizational, analytical and problem solving skills, with an emphasis on being detail-oriented; (9) The ability to understand and comprehend SCEL policies, rules, regulations and procedures; and (10) The ability to work flexible a schedule, as necessary for specific projects.
