Summary

This position requires candidate to produce machined parts per print by setting up and operating a CNC Milling machine, maintaining quality, safety standards and record keeping. This position requires strong CNC experience involving setting up and operating Mills. Must be able to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Must produce operator friendly, quality set-ups which meet print requirements.
• Work efficiently and diligently to complete set-ups within allotted time.
• Review and recommend any changes to production tooling.
• Assist others in resolving issues/problems when needed.
• Report any manufacturing equipment deficiencies/problems to the Manager.
• Support and assist machine operators in maintenance and repair tasks.
• Responsible for maintaining a safe, efficient and clean work environment.
• Perform other job-related duties.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum 5-7 years of mill setup experience.
• Work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to set up from program notes, set-up sheets and shop traveler.
• Must be able to set up/run multiple machines.
• Must be able to read and interpret prints, including GD&T.
• Inspect their own parts with attention to detail and be proficient with inspection tools and methods.
• Communicate effectively within the team, different shifts, different departments and management.

Education / Experience

• High School diploma or GED required. Accredited Trade School and or Associate degree preferred.
• At least 5 - 7 years of experience.
• Experience using precision measuring tools including but not limited to calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gages, indicators and scales.
