Well known non-profit in Upper Manhattan is searching for a Occupational Therapist for their therapeutic preschool. This organization is passionate about helping youth reach developmental milestones while working towards achieving their goals in safe and supportive spaces. This organization as a whole provides behavioral support services to the local community and is well known for their therapeutic preschool, child and adolescent programs and case management and therapeutic support for adults.

We are looking for someone 20-25 hours a week.

Responsibilities:

• Assess each assigned student’s physical, communication, and cognitive skills in order to develop a treatment plan; including but not limited to ongoing review and adaptation needs of the plan.
• Provide targeted, evidence-based therapeutic intervention to facilitate student participation and occupational performance in the school environment.
• Monitor and assess the effects of occupational therapy intervention and the need to continue, modify, or discontinue intervention(s).

Requirements:

• NYS OT Licensure (must be in good standing)
• 2 years experience as OT in school or other setting
• PETS Clearance
• Willingness to complete background check as required by Premium Education and the DOE (as applicable)
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)
