SoundWaters, a nonprofit education organization based in Stamford, CT, is accepting applications for Part-time
Environmental Educators.
SoundWaters, founded in 1989, is the premiere environmental education organization focused on the protection
of Long Island Sound and its watershed. SoundWaters works in partnership with individuals, schools,
communities, businesses, civic organizations, and other environmental and educational organizations to develop
experiences that foster a sense of responsibility and encourage actions that ensure the sustainable future of Long
Island Sound ecosystem.
SoundWaters is currently seeking dynamic instructors with a background in the sciences and familiarity with
non-traditional education to augment our outstanding team of Educators during our fall teaching season.
Educators are responsible for leading marine science and coastal ecology programs for pre-school, elementary
and middle school students form a variety of backgrounds. SoundWaters programs are conducted outdoors and
indoors and are highly experiential. The Part-time Educator will lead their own group of up to 30 students in a
variety of activities. SoundWaters will train and mentor the right candidate.
