Job Description: Environmental Health and Safety Representative (EHSR)

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

The EHSR is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing the EHS daily activities of the assigned project.

The EHSR performs the Environmental Safety and Health oversight of the Environmental Health and Safety Plan (EHASP). In this function, the EHSR performs daily audits of the project to ensure the work is performed in accordance with the EHASP. The EHSR conducts safety orientations, participates in project team meetings and other EHS related reviews, provides input to the client and interfaces with regulatory agencies as they relate to the EHS functions.

Major Duties:

• Ensure that all EHS training certifications that are necessary for the position are up to date; Notify the Manager of Administrative Programs if expiration dates are approaching.
• Complete all required training
• Participate in all monthly EHS staff meetings.
• Report to the assigned project worksite in a timely manner to ensure ample time for set up and completion of the days assignment, as scheduled
• Ensure that all applicable EHSR duties including project preparation/site preparation/needed equipment /associated paperwork/permits are prepared in a timely manner.
• Ensure daily paperwork reflects a clear description of the day’s activities with photos and proactive recommendations for improving the EHS performance of the project.
• Complete all work assignments in the KloudGin software.

Other:

Ensure All Sound Environmental Associates policies and procedures are followed as per the SEA Employee Manual and other required applicable local, state, and Federal regulations.

Qualifications

10 years of experience on construction projects, 5 of which must be on site safety health and environmental experience.

Excellent organizational, written & verbal communications skills

Must be proactive

Project management skills

Keen attention to detail

Can multi-task well, self-motivated and is energetic

An outgoing, friendly demeanor with a focus on customer service

Persistent

Must work well under pressure

Tech savvy; Must be proficient in using software

Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and projects at hand

Resourceful, self-directed and able to work without supervision

Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas

Salary: $45 to $60 hour, salary commiserate with experience
