A Consumer Loan Processor to join our team! As a Consumer Loan Processor, you will assist members with inquiries, requests, and / or issues in a friendly, respectful, courteous, and professional manner.

As a Consumer Loan Processor you will...

  • Process and fund a full range of consumer loans within lending authority limits; evaluate background information including employment history, credit history and debt to income ratio of applicants for consumer loans, including, auto, boat, RV and motorcycle, lines of credit, VISA credit cards and personal loans.
  • Review and verify loan applications for completeness and accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies.
  • Communicate with members to gather any additional information or documentation needed for loan processing.
  • Analyze credit reports and financial statements to assess the applicant's creditworthiness.
  • Process loan applications efficiently and accurately within specified timeframes.
  • Collaborate with underwriters to resolve any application discrepancies or issues.
  • Maintain detailed and organized loan files for auditing and compliance purposes.
  • Follow up on loan applications to ensure timely funding and disbursement.
  • Ensure all documents and information is complete prior to disbursement.
  • Analyze pay stubs and tax returns to determine income verification.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and regulations related to consumer lending.
  • Provide high priority to member satisfaction; act in accordance with Sound Credit Union's Brand expectations.
  • Report to work on time, as scheduled and abide by Sound Credit Union's Personnel Policy concerning attendance.
  • Maintain intra / interdepartmental workflow by providing information to and cooperating with co-workers and working on variety of special department projects as needed.
  • Stay current with operational changes and required trainings.
  • Make a connection with members by developing genuine and trusting relationship to understand their financial needs and recommend appropriate products and services that support members through all waves of life.
  • Team member interactions are an essential function of this position; therefore reliability and full time-attendance is required.

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate will bring to the team...

Two years' experience processing consumer loans; within a financial institution preferred.

Typical new hire salary offers fall within the minimum to midpoint of a pay range for many candidates, which allows us to offer merit-based salary increases.

Minimum : $24.62

Midpoint : $30.77

Maximum : $36.92

Your hours :

A in-person schedule Monday - Friday : 8 : 30 am - 5 : 30 pm
