Overview

SOS International, LLC (SOSi) is currently seeking a Senior Network Engineer in Fort Huachuca, AZ. The Senior Network Engineer reports to the SMT Team Lead and supports the migration and integration of improvements and new services or technologies across the DoDIN-A in support of modernization. Validates the existing security posture of components identified for modernization, and then translates those specific routing and firewall policies into the new format while maintaining and validating security controls.

Responsibilities

• Define detailed requirements, analyze business needs, and validate solutions with the customer and clients.
• Detail requirements through product development and other functions to support the project team.
• Monitor other service migration analysts as integration or modernization efforts are staged for deployment to network enclaves.
• Work alongside the Joint Regional Service Stack (JRSS) Joint Management Team (JMT) to migrate base, post, camp, and stations to the JRSS environment from the legacy Top Level Architecture (TLA) stacks. This encompasses Authorized Service Interruption (ASI) assistance, firewall configuration migrations, site surveys, and troubleshooting an array of issues during the migrations.
• Perform Site survey for JRSS migration prep.
• Convert Network Modernization (NETMOD) local access to Transitional-ACS (T-ACS) access.
• Act as Technical liaison between the customer and DISA PMO Migration Team (PMT).
• Maintain Procedure Documents regarding Migrations including Templates: TLA Juniper firewall rule migration to JRSS, Agency Palo Alto firewall, Firewall Direction Control (FDC) managed base Cisco firewall conversion to JRSS Base Cisco firewall, and Post-Migration Diagram and transition of migrated site back to WANMAN.
• Review all systems development project requests and coordinate schedules and related departmental activity.
• Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies.
• Provide timely notification to the Government for any critical or high incidents impacting critical systems and services.
• Provides on-call support after business hours and during weekends when required.
• Develop and/or maintain SOPs, TTPs, and SmartBooks associated with current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
• Follow ITIL best practices to manage tickets and processes.
• Participate in special projects as required.
• Actively collaborate with GTMs, Branch Chiefs, Division Chiefs and Leadership.

Qualifications

• Active in scope Top Secret (TS) with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance or the abililty to obtain an Interim Top Secret with SCI eligibility
• HS 12 yrs similar technical experience or AA/AS 10, or BS/BA 8.
• An IAT II certification (CCNA-Security, CND, CySA , GICSP, GSEC, Security CE, or SSCP) is required.
• CSSP-IS Certification
• Knowledge of installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of Cisco Internetworking Devices.
• Knowledge of installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of Juniper Internetworking Devices.
• Knowledge of Standard Routing Protocols, i.e. EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, etc.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP ports, protocols, and subnetting.
• Network fundamentals.
• Network services such as: DNS, DHCP, NTP, and LDAP.
• Cybersecurity fundamentals.
• IT Industry terminology.
• Advanced troubleshooting and problem solving techniques.
• Excellent oral and written communication.

Preferred Qualifications

• ITIL Foundation Certification
• FedVTE
• Fluency in a foreign language is desirable, but not required.
