This position is contingent upon contract award
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Release Train Engineer to join our growing team in Arlington, VA. This role requires a blend of Agile coaching, program management, and strong leadership skills.
This individual must possess strong facilitation skills, must promote continual improvement, and must have the ability to coach and motivate teams, and address and resolve conflict.
Essential Job Duties
Facilitate and execute ART Processes : Lead program-level ceremonies such as PI planning, system demonstrations, and Inspect & Adapt workshops / retrospectives;
Ensure consistent and effective execution of ART processes.
Coach and Guide Teams : Provide Agile / SAFe® guidance to teams; Coach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in the new processes and methodologies required to operate in a SAFe® environment.
Manage and Optimize Flow of Value : Drive the relentless improvement of the ART; Facilitate flow by managing and assessing ART progress, helping to resolve or escalate impediments, and ensuring alignment to the company’s goals.
Stakeholder Communication : Communicate with stakeholders, report on ART progress, escalate impediments, and help manage risk.
Collaboration Across Teams : Foster collaboration among teams, including the System and Solution Architects / Engineers; Work with Product Management, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment.
PI Planning Facilitation : Lead and facilitate PI planning events.
Continuous Improvement : Encourage and support the teams’ improvement initiatives; Contribute to the advancement of Agile practices.
Minimum Requirements
Knowledge applying agile processes and tools on multiple large-scale IT-related development programs.
Knowledge with at least two of the following Agile tools : JIRA, Confluence, Gitlab, Nexus, SonarQube, HP ALM suite.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle models.
Knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles.
Experience coaching and mentoring Agile Scrum teams.
Experience in planning, managing, and implementing the entire agile software development lifecycle.
Minimum of two IT development programs as RTE.
Experience applying Agile processes and tools in commercial, Federal, DoD, Army, IC, or State programs of similar scope and complexity to AMP;
Federal, DoD, or Army experience preferred.
Agile Leader Certification (preferred).
Experience with supporting an ERP program such as PeopleSoft HCM by applying Agile processes is desired
BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical degree plus 4years’ relevant experience in technical analysis, design, configuration, implementation and integration.
Active Secret clearance.
