Division Eight, Ten and Carpentry Estimator

Preconstruction Services – Kansas City Kansas - Full Time

Position Summary

Responsible for estimating work primarily in CSI Division 6, 8 and 10 with an emphasis on Architectural Woodwork. Responsible for all quantity analysis manufacturing expenditures are complete and accurate.

Debrief the salesperson on the job and its elements, providing support in developing bidding strategies. Requires a skilled professional effective in meeting deadlines and solving problems.

Preferred Qualifications (in addition to minimum qualifications)

Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or equivalent
• 5 years’ experience estimating in commercial construction

Knowledge/Skills

• Excellent blueprint reading skills with an emphasis on Architectural, Interiors, & Structural
• Experience in estimating phases of all CSI Divisions.
• Practical knowledge of commercial construction methods and application of principles
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Excellent computer skills
• Ability to develop and maintain vendor and customer relationships

Minimum Qualifications

Education/Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent
• At least 5 years’ experience estimating in the construction industry

Knowledge/Skills

• Proficient in reading blueprints
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Detail oriented
• Proficient in communication, both written and verbal
• Self-driven organizational and time management skills
• Proficient with a computer
• Curiosity to learn and grow
