Job Description:

As a Junior Network Engineer, you will work closely with our senior engineers to support and optimize our network infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operation of our systems and services. Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting in the design and deployment of LAN/WAN networks, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking devices.
• Configuring and maintaining network hardware and software components, ensuring compatibility, reliability, and security.
• Monitoring network performance and troubleshooting connectivity issues, identifying root causes and implementing solutions to minimize downtime.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement network security policies and procedures, including access control, encryption, and intrusion detection/prevention.
• Assisting in the planning and execution of network upgrades and migrations, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Documenting network configurations, policies, and procedures, and providing training and support to end-users as needed.
• Keeping abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, and recommending enhancements to improve network efficiency and scalability.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP), and network security principles.
• Hands-on experience with network equipment such as Cisco routers and switches, Juniper firewalls, and VPN technologies.
• Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools such as Wireshark, Nagios, or SolarWinds.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and implement effective solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, Network ) are a plus.
