EMS Emergency Medical Personnel

Location: varies by event in Oklahoma City, OK

Job Type: Part-time, PRN (As Needed)

Sooner Medical is seeking dedicated EMS Emergency Medical Personnel to provide first aid and emergency medical services at local events. As part of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of event patrons during various occasions, including sporting events, concerts, and other entertainment gatherings.

Pay: Starting at $15 per hour, dependent on certification and experience

Responsibilities:

• Provide prompt and efficient first aid and emergency medical care to event attendees.
• Assess and triage medical situations to determine appropriate care, including administering basic medical treatments such as aspirin for headaches, vomit bags for nausea, and bandages for minor injuries.
• Conduct thorough assessments of injuries and illnesses to determine the need for further medical attention or transportation to a healthcare facility.
• Maintain accurate documentation of medical treatments provided and patient assessments.
• Collaborate effectively with other medical personnel, security staff, and event organizers to ensure a coordinated response to medical emergencies.
• Adhere to all protocols, guidelines, and regulations related to emergency medical services and patient care.

Requirements:

• Current certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or higher level of medical certification (e.g., Paramedic).
• CPR certification required.
• Previous experience in emergency medical services, event medical coverage, or similar field preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
• Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on event schedules.
