Job Description: Assistant PM – Window Treatment

Reports To: Sr. Project Manager - Window Treatment

Summary

The Assistant Project Manager’s role is to independently complete bids and submit takeoffs, to assist with the planning, organization, and management of the day-to-day operations of a window treatment job, as well as any other responsibilities that the Sr. Project Manager sees fit, which can include site visits.

About Sonus Interiors

Sonus Interiors is a commercial interiors construction company with multiple divisions including ceiling, flooring, window treatments, specialty products and design. Windows treatment division procures and installs window coverings such as shades, blinds and curtains for commercial spaces. Sonus Interiors has approximately 140 employees, including 50 office and 90 Union field employees. This position would support both office and field employees.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

•Able to manage small projects independently (from estimating to close-out) and able to support Project Manager with larger projects (from estimating to close-out)

•Proactively support PM’s client relationships.

•Estimate prospective construction projects, including support of the process from start to finish.

-Accurately complete takeoffs (electronic and/or physical)

-Review, acknowledge and incorporate all addendums, clarifications.

-Complete self-review before passing along to PM

-While focus is on window treatment jobs, if capacity allows, may also complete estimates for other divisions like acoustical ceilings

•Independently manage jobs and support specific General Contractor accounts as assigned.

-Review, update and approve project costs and change orders.

-Coordinate deliveries, monitor field production for all jobs.

-Attending job meetings and visiting project sites, and directing others to attend these meetings as applicable.

-Manage problem solving and dispute resolution on all projects.

•Prospect for new accounts.

•Attending client related events and presenting when applicable.

•Maintain excellent relationships with Clients.

•Complete site visits and do site measurements (as necessary).

•Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.

•Provide backup support to fellow Project Managers when requested.

Qualifications

•Bachelor’s degree with emphasis on Construction Management, Communications, Business or related field is a plus.

•At least 3-5 years of related experience.

•Excellent communications skills, including both written and verbal.

•Excellent project management and organizational skills.

•Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

•Ability to operate a variety of office equipment such as personal computer, telephone, printer, copier/scanner.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $54,505.00 - $58,791.00 per year
