Base Pay Rate : $19.84 / Hour

3rd Shift Differential $1.50 / Hour

While reporting to the Team Lead as the Material Handler I, you will primarily be responsible for the safe operation of material handling equipment to enable the efficient flow of material / products and the accurate loading / unloading of material / products.

Responsibilities

• Use material handling equipment with a strong emphasis on stacking and pedestrian safety.
• Assist the plant in various areas, such as lumber / Hol-Tec, T&N, Final Processing, and Shipping.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the work area and department, as well as 5S standards.
• Ensure accurate documentation of quantities loaded or unloaded.
• Execute all tasks safely and efficiently.
• Conduct a daily inspection of the material handling equipment.

Requirements

• Excellent attendance is crucial to ensure the team's success.
• A proven record of success in a fast-paced environment is required.
• You must collaborate well with different teams and be attentive to identifying discrepancies.
• You'll take pride in your analytical and hands-on abilities, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
• Physical requirements include being able to lift at least 50 pounds and stand for at least 8 hours.
• You should be able to read and comprehend manufacturing instructions.
• You'll be required to work overtime when necessary.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of forklift experience.
