Wage : $30.18 - $32.47 (Depending on experience)

Shift : M-F 1st Shift (7am-3pm) with additional overtime as needed

5 days a week

While reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, the following job description outlines the essential functions of each level of role within the Maintenance department.

The following lists are not exhaustive, and the employee in each of these roles is expected to assume any and all duties assigned by management irrespective of whether such duties are specifically included in the following.

What You’ll Be Doing :

• Complies with established job safety practices, policies, and procedures as specified in plant and corporate directives for safe performance of the work assignment.
• Supports and follows the guidelines of the food safety system.
• Troubleshoots, repairs, install, erects, moves, and / or dismantles all types of machinery and auxiliary production equipment.
• Inspects job site and equipment to be dismantled, erected or moved; analyzes blueprints and schematics; estimates weight of loads to be handled, lifted, clearances, and recommends support equipment needed.
• Selects and transports tools, machinery, and materials needed for assignment.
• Fabricates sheet metal and structural units (guarding, steps, stairs, conveyors, elevators, platforms) as needed. Sets units in place.
• Splices ropes and cables as required.
• Performs preventative maintenance for building and grounds as necessary.
• Repairs and maintains all assigned machines and equipment including preventative maintenance.
• Performs organizational duties including maintaining an organized and clean work area.
• Communicates pertinent information to next shift.
• Performs clean-up, painting, and housekeeping duties.
• Initiates, reviews, and follows all standard operating procedures (SOPs) for area of responsibility.

Includes ability to handle stress and to interact with others so as to establish and maintain a positive and productive work environment and minimize personal conflicts.

Required to work assigned schedule or 12-hour shifts, rotating days and nights, Monday through Sunday, working hours may vary as specified by management.

Incumbent must be able to work overtime on a regular basis and / or be on call as directed by management.

• Must follow company policies, procedures, practices, and standards of conduct as outlined in the Ball Metalpack manuals.
• Functional / Technical Skills. Has the functional and technical knowledge and skills to do the job at a high level of accomplishment.
• Works in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to work overtime if needed

• You have job related experience for 5 - 7 years minimum
