Overview

The Sr. Financial Analyst performs analysis and development of the financial information required to successfully support Sonny’s and its subsidiaries. The analyst will work with people at all levels of the organization to report, monitor, and manage key financial and non-financial performance indicators. This position also helps the business unit achieve goals, anticipate needs and resolve problems. 

Responsibilities

• Prepares and analyzes consolidated reporting at all levels of the organization on actuals, forecasts and prior fiscal year 
• Completes the monthly consolidation and sends out the financial package to the leadership team as well as the lenders 
• Analysis and reporting of weekly operating statistics 
• Conducts thorough research and analysis of variances to ensure data accuracy 
• Responsible for developing financial modeling, financial statement analysis, decision modeling, reporting and ad-hoc analysis to support strategic initiatives 
• Support, analyze, and assist in the preparation and review of the company’s annual operating budget including: 

• 1. detailed support and analysis of the company’s revenue forecast and departmental budgets 
• 2. detailed support and analysis of balance sheet forecasts and the associated cash flow forecasts 

• Assists in the continued development of budgeting, financial forecasting, operating plan and modeling tools 
• Analyzes actual operating results and identifies key financial actual results versus forecast 
• Will be the consolidation point for all entity reporting – this will include annual insurance data to complete the renewals, census info, etc. 
• Maintains the sales database for all of the entities 
• Secures financial information by completing database backups; keeping information confidential 
• Maintains accounting controls by following policies and procedures; complying with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements. 
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications 
• Accomplishes Financial and Organization mission by completing related results as needed 
• Assists with the system implementations at Sonny’s and its subsidiaries 
• Documents workflow and work procedures 
• Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required, with a concentration in Accounting or Finance
• CPA or MBA a plus
• 5 yrs. of Finance experience 
• Experience with an ERP manufacturing system required; SAP experience preferred 
• Experience with Vena financial reporting software is a plus 
• Advanced skills in MS Excel Required 
• Manufacturing experience a plus!
