Sonnet Territory & Channel Account Executive

Sonnet Technologies Inc., a leading provider of Thunderbolt technology expansion products, interface cards, docks, and media readers for professional users in the audio, video and broadcast industries, as well as Mac related products for small – medium businesses and education markets. We are actively searching for a Territory & Channel Account Executive to handle inbound sales opportunities from end customers and resellers within a designated territory. Additional responsibilities include proactively recruiting and developing new and existing relationships with the independent and regional reseller / VAR channels.

The ideal candidate will have 3 years of technically oriented sales experience with end customers and with developing and managing reseller channel partners. Knowledge of storage, pro- video and pro- audio technologies and Mac related computer accessory sales a plus. Must develop mutually profitable customer relationships with resellers, through recruitment, web based training and sales support activities. Must also be able to handle inbound pre-sales inquiries from end customers, advising on product and configuration options as well as consultatively cross-selling and up selling to other Sonnet products. This position requires exceptional sales consulting and communication skills. The individual must achieve or exceed assigned sales quotas in accordance with established policies and strategic guidelines, and be creative in gaining mindshare and sales preference within the reseller channel. Must always be aware of competitor's activities, account history, emerging trends, etc., and understand how to create and capitalize on opportunities.

Job Qualifications include:

· A minimum of three years computer products sales and related experience or equivalent. Knowledge of and experience with pro-audio, pro-video and Mac product ecosystem a plus.

· Strong technical understanding of computer products and accessories and interest in latest technologies. I.E. avid reader of technology publications, industry forums and other information resources. Experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical product issues a plus.

· Interest in and an understanding of Pro- Video and Pro- Audio markets and technologies a plus.

· Proven success in meeting and exceeding sales goals.

· Strong communication and client interaction skills with all channel levels, including the ability to remotely conduct web based product update training meetings for channel sales teams.

· Requires a BA/BS plus 3 years of sales experience or equivalent.

· Strong Organizational Skills: Demonstrated ability to be highly organized and efficient with strong and consistent follow-up and follow-through. Must be willing and able to use a designated CRM application for customer and opportunity tracking, keeping all required information up to date.

· Consultative Sales Proficiency: Proven track record of qualifying, prioritizing and closing sales opportunities through consultative customer interaction. Of high priority is the ability to quickly assess customer needs, beyond their initial product interest inquiry, and effectively introduce additional relevant Sonnet product for consideration.

· Team Oriented: Must be able to thrive in a team-oriented environment, be willing to collaborate and work harmoniously with co-workers.

· Entrepreneurial: Candidates are expected to be a self-starter, demonstrate an entrepreneurial drive.

· Ethical: Candidates are expected to demonstrate ethics at its highest level as a representative of Sonnet.

Job Responsibilities include:

· Setting and managing realistic customer expectations during the sales process.

· Handling inbound customer inquiries (end customer and reseller) via phone, email and chat. Assessing customer needs / requirements and educating the customer about relevant Sonnet products. Education includes product features, benefits and competitive positioning.

· Cross-sell and up-sell customers consultatively with the breadth of Sonnet product.

· Develops and implement strategic sales plans to achieve or exceed revenue targets and product mix goals through systematic sales calls on current and potential customers.

· Recruit and develop new reseller relationships and develop relationship between Sonnet and select assigned existing resellers.

· Facilitate the resolution of customer support issues, including answering questions, interfacing with and handing off to Sonnet Technical Support and following up to insure trouble tickets ticket resolution and customer satisfaction.

· Keep customers abreast of new products, features, pricing and case study examples.

· Maintain accurate customer and opportunity records in Sonnet’s designated CRM system.

· Conduct web based sales trainings for reseller sales reps.

· Provide regular sales forecasting and reporting.

The position will be based in Irvine, California and will be primarily a phone based sales position.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $106,299.00 per year
