Sonnenalp Properties is Hiring a Personal Trainer Near Edwards, CO

Wage: Commission on Personal Training session, This position will stay open until 6/11/2024.

Primary Purpose of Position

Provide high quality personalized fitness instruction in private, semi-private, and small group settings. Establish relationships with members and provides a welcoming and supportive environment. Contribute to the mission of the club by enhancing revenue opportunities and providing members with a positive and memorable experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Must be able to clearly communicate essential cues to perform a fitness assessment and demonstrate cognitive abilities to program subsequent fitness interventions/exercises
  • Create safe and effective exercise programming consistent with the highest certifications, client needs and limitations and Company standards.
  • Demonstrate the correct form and provide clear instruction of exercises.
  • Motivate and monitor sessions and provide feedback regarding correct form and/or use of equipment if applicable.
  • Pursues training and development opportunities; strives to continuously build knowledge and skills, undertakes self-development activities; maintains current certifications.
  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.
  • Assesses own strengths and weaknesses.
  • Shares experiences with others.
  • Responds promptly to customer needs; solicits customer feedback to improve service; responds to requests for service and assistance.
  • Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; responds well to questions; demonstrates group presentation skills.

Education/Experience

  • Current NCCA Personal Training Certification
  • A minimum 1 year of Personal Training experience.
  • CPR & AED certification
  • Functional Movement Systems FMS Level 1 certification or commensurate training
  • Obtains TPI (Titleist Performance Institute) certification within one year of employment

Special Skills/Equipment

  • Personable and welcoming attitude to all members and guests in facility.
  • Knowledge of the fitness industry and fitness equipment.
  • Proficient in software applications and Microsoft word and excel.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.

Essential Physical Requirements

  • Must maintain good physical fitness, able to lift at least 50 pounds and move boxes above shoulder level and must be able to stand for substantial periods of time working at the front desk, walking the facility and/or doing physical inventory.
  • Visual acuity and hearing to recognize emergency situations and take effective courses of action
  • Must keep a good physical and professional appearance.
  • The employee is frequently required to walk, reach, push and pull with hands, arms and legs; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities are required by this job include depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
