Sonalysts, Inc. is Hiring a Production Administrator Near Waterford, CT

Sonalysts, Inc., an employee-owned company, seeks a Production Administrator with effective communication skills, proficient in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)/ Material Requirements Planning (MRP) applications, strong attention to detail, and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite to provide support within the Analysis and Engineering (A&E) team.

The Production Administrator will assist the project leader, production manager, and the procurement team to ensure purchase requests are documented, processed, and fulfilled in an efficient manner from initial request to document archive. The successful candidate will possess the following skills:

  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills in person and via phone and email
  • Effective time management and able to prioritize tasks
  • Organized and analytical
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and ERP/MRP systems
  • Experience with material procurement and material receipt
  • Team player with a desire to provide outstanding support

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Consistent awareness of purchase requests and pending orders to update order status and backlog
  • Tracking arrival of pending orders and tracking of open orders
  • Responsible for clerical functions supporting Sonalysts Manufacturing Team to include, but not limited to, the use of ERP/MRP applications, Microsoft word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook
  • Maintain updated archives of purchase order files for audit purposes and access by the contracts and legal department
  • Gather information on vendors and track vendor performance
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting

Required Qualifications:

  • 2 years professional experience in accounting or procurement role.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, eligible for a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET security clearance*

Desired Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree
  • Working within an ISO 9001 company and auditing experience is a plus
  • Purchasing and receiving experience
  • Analysis of pricing data to optimize procurement budgets
  • Strong understanding and creation of work orders and purchase orders
  • Ability to create work routers and scheduling of work
  • Ability to perform incoming material inspections and other quality tasks
  • Entering data and creating schedules
  • Possessing an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance*

*Obtaining a U.S. Government security clearance involves a comprehensive background check. Candidates are eligible for a clearance if they have demonstrated sound financial management (including good credit) over time, are free of criminal records, have limited foreign contacts or ties, and other factors indicative of a position of trust to protect information sensitive to the U.S. Government.
