Mechanical Assembler
The Position :
Electrical and mechanical assembly of packaging machines and their subsequent tools. Facilitating effective collaboration with successful information flow throughout each project while supporting the organization and build-up of machine assembly at US plant.
Job Duties :
- Assembly of packaging machines and format tools at the Somic facility based on the technical documents provided.
- Unloading of truck or sea freight container
- Uncrate and unpack machine and all parts.
- Staging of parts
- Helping on endurance runs
- Put together format tool carts and align format tools according to drawings.
- Assembly and levelling of machines and conveyors
- Running and connection of electrical wires and cables
- Running and connection of pneumatic hoses
- Electrical and pneumatic installation subassemblies and components (according to drawings)
- Installation of subassemblies and components (according to drawings)
- Ensuring high quality standards
- Optimizing installation procedures
- Making sure that assignments are performed correctly and on time.
- Ensuring machine safety and quality gate requirements are being met.
- Ensuring complete documentation of the assembly process
- Responsibility for the execution of the machine assembly together with the Lead Assembly Technician and Assembly Operations Manager at the US plant
Requirements
- Industrial, electrical, and mechanical experience or similar technical training
- Experience working with technical documents and drawings.
- Experience in working with pneumatic wiring desirable.
- Capable to work with 2D and 3D drawings.
- Must be reliable and accurate.
- Capable to work with electrical drawings.
- Forklift experience preferred.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
- Ability to work independently and be solution oriented.
- Strong commitment to high quality standards
- Must be able to read, speak and write in English.
