Summary/Objective:
The Behavior Interventionist 2 is responsible for providing intensive behavioral intervention services to clients with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental delays in language, cognitive, adaptive behavior, social-emotional, self-care, fine motor, gross motor and communication development. The Behavior Interventionist is ultimately responsible for direct delivery of the behavioral services to the children and families, as well as accurate record keeping of case notes and excellent communication with supervising BCBA and other Behavior Interventionists responsible for oversight about the program and the progress of the behavior service plans. The Behavior Interventionist 2 maintains a weekly billable caseload of service hours as directed by the IBI Supervisor. This position is expected to complete credentials as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) within 6 months of employment.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:
This position works actively with children in an office, home, or community-based setting, sometimes for a period of several hours at a time. This requires energy, enthusiasm, and physical capabilities to engage the child in tasks and play activities. For example. the Behavior Interventionist may need to participate in physical recreational activities with the child. This position may need to conduct physical intervention procedures with the child, such as escort or restraint procedures in the event safety concerns arise. The Behavior Interventionist will need to use a computer for reading client files and recording progress notes.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, hours will fluctuate based on workload and client schedule. Occasional weekend work will be mandatory based on client needs.
Travel:
This position requires some local travel each day, between the office, school, home, and community training locations.
