Solugenix is assisting a client in their search for a Sr. Power Electronic Engineer. This is a direct hire opportunity based out of Lake Forest, CA (Onsite).

Qualifications:

• Appropriate combination of degree and/or experience developing, implementing, and testing power electronic devices.
• Strong analytical skills with solid device, circuit, and controls theory fundamentals.
• Strong hands-on testing and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with embedded firmware development for real-time control systems.
• Familiarity with safety and compliance standards for electrical machines connected to power electronics.
• Familiarity with electrical machine operation.

Responsibilities:

• Outline controller requirements based on system performance requirements.
• Design and implement new topologies for controllability and fit to system requirements.
• Development of control strategies to provide the highest performance of the system.
• Development of dynamic models of the system, and tune controller algorithms accordingly to optimize performance.
• Translate algorithms into software implementation, and work with the firmware team to integrate that into the firmware framework.
• Test, validate, and troubleshoot controller implementation.
• Develop and utilize computer simulations (Matlab/Simulink, HiL, SiL) to analyze developed algorithms, improvement, and modification.

Annual Base Salary Range for CA, CO, IL, NJ, NY, WA, and DC: $160,000 to $225,000. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors including but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training and/or experience.About the Client:Our client is one of the leading aerospace engineers company.
