Responsibilities

• Develop a home grown trading platform utilizing Golang and Python
• Work directly with the Head of Trading to evaluate requirements, and develop architecture that meets the long term business needs
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to integrate diverse software components
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines
• Manage and optimize PostgreSQL databases
• Contribute to the development and refinement of trading algorithms, with a focus on cryptocurrency markets
• Continuously learn and adapt to new programming languages - a key requirement of this position is to utilize your superior engineering experience to learn new tools and languages on the fly
• Engage in proactive code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be incredibly well rounded and self starting. You will have superior experience with Python, Golang (or a similar programming language), PostgreSQL, and cryptocurrency operations. 

• Proven ability to deliver high quality Python and Golang code to support the build of a brand new enterprise platform
• Basic understanding of CI/CD, DevOps practices
• Demonstrated knowledge of cryptocurrency and trading operations
• Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
• Senior level experience with multithreading
• Strong ability to be self starting and self motivated in a fast paced environment. Self management skills are required as there will be no BA to be the 'go-between' and deliver well groomed requirements
