SUMMARY
DevOps Engineer who will be responsible to build, manage, and automate our AWS infrastructure. This is a critical role in the facilitation of a fast, efficient, and high quality SDLC process. This role is also central to our SaaS platform, Equinox’s availability, responsiveness, resilience and recoverability.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
You will be working with engineering teams and focusing on AWS infrastructure and automation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
· Experience with building REST APIs
· Working knowledge of the MERN stack
· Strong working knowledge of development, security, SDLC best practices
· Experience with back-end languages and frameworks, ie: Javascript, NodeJS, ExpressJS, etc
· Experience with microservice architectures & serverless technologies
· Experience with DynamoDB and Redis
· Experience with test driven development and testing tools, ie: Mocha, Chai
· Experience with continuous integration and deployment tools, ie: Jenkins, Travis CI, CodePipeline
· Excellent analytical and time management skills
· Teamwork skills with a problem-solving attitude
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelor’s (Master’s Degree a plus) Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related disciplines is preferred. Five (5) plus years of software engineering experience with a minimum (2.5 years) Dev/Ops engineering and technologies; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Need to be able to demonstrate ability to learn new technologies with limited guidance.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES:
· AWS – Cloud DevOps engineer or DevSecOps engineer tracks

LANGUAGE ABILITY:

MATH ABILITY:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Need to be able to demonstrate the ability to solve complex problems and must be comfortable with a high level of ambiguity.

TRAVEL REQUIRED:
Up to 20% depending on location.
