Apartment community in Blacksburg, VA is looking for a grounds worker primarily responsible for maintaining the landscaping.

Must be able to operate weed trimmers, commercial lawn mowers, leaf blowers, power washers, snow blowers and all other equipment necessary to complete the task.

Ideal candidate has 1 years experience, takes pride in their work and is motivated.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, be on your feet most of the day, bending/squatting, shoveling, climbing and also be available on an as-needed basis for emergency services.

Must have valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities included but not limited to:
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, edging lawns
- Plant and maintain gardens, including watering, weeding, and fertilizing
- Operate hand tools and power equipment to complete assigned tasks
- Assist with tree care, including pruning and removal

- Assist with snow removal as needed

Experience:
- Previous experience in landscape maintenance or groundskeeping is preferred
- Knowledge of basic landscaping techniques and practices
- Familiarity with hand tools and mechanical equipment used in landscaping
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as digging and lifting heavy objects
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
