Solo Brands is Hiring a Corporate Accountant Near Grapevine, TX

The Corporate Accountant will assist in all aspects of general ledger accounting. This is a great opportunity to leverage full-cycle accounting knowledge, work with individuals in various functions throughout the business, and develop business acumen. This individual is a detail-oriented and highly organized team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Essential job functions

  • Perform month-end closing assignments including preparation of journal entries account reconciliations, and analysis of income statement and balance sheet accounts
  • Partner with the business to ensure complete, accurate and timely accounting of all transactions
  • Support the processes for quarterly and annual SEC filings, including preparation of supporting schedules and footnotes, as necessary
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly and year end audit requests, in addition to addressing questions as needed
  • Identify, develop and ensure the application of internal controls over financial reporting related to all areas responsibility, as needed
  • Identify, communicate and assist in implementing opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 3 years of related industry or public accounting experience at a senior accountant level
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance required
  • CPA preferred
  • Understanding of full-cycle accounting
  • Inventory accounting experience a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • NetSuite, Oracle or other similar ERP system experience preferred
  • Team-first mentality
  • Flexible mindset/adaptability to change
  • Strong communication, analytical and organizational skills
  • Flexibility to work outside normal business hours to meet internal and external deadlines
