The Corporate Accountant will assist in all aspects of general ledger accounting. This is a great opportunity to leverage full-cycle accounting knowledge, work with individuals in various functions throughout the business, and develop business acumen. This individual is a detail-oriented and highly organized team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Essential job functions
- Perform month-end closing assignments including preparation of journal entries account reconciliations, and analysis of income statement and balance sheet accounts
- Partner with the business to ensure complete, accurate and timely accounting of all transactions
- Support the processes for quarterly and annual SEC filings, including preparation of supporting schedules and footnotes, as necessary
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and year end audit requests, in addition to addressing questions as needed
- Identify, develop and ensure the application of internal controls over financial reporting related to all areas responsibility, as needed
- Identify, communicate and assist in implementing opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 3 years of related industry or public accounting experience at a senior accountant level
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance required
- CPA preferred
- Understanding of full-cycle accounting
- Inventory accounting experience a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- NetSuite, Oracle or other similar ERP system experience preferred
- Team-first mentality
- Flexible mindset/adaptability to change
- Strong communication, analytical and organizational skills
- Flexibility to work outside normal business hours to meet internal and external deadlines
