Solina USA is Hiring a Machine Operator - Blending/Preweigh- Bolingbrook Near Bolingbrook, IL

Overview:

Saratoga, a custom seasoning and functional ingredient manufacturer located in Bolingbrook, IL is currently in need of Machine Operators on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift. The shift hours are 6:00am – 2:00pm, 2:00pm – 10:00pm, and 10:00pm – 6:00am. Our production area consists of four different departments: Blending, PreWeigh, and Packaging. All positions require close attention to detail and the ability to consistently perform heavy lifting.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES (including but not limited to)

Blending:

Frequently lift 50 pounds, sometimes heavier weights with teammates
Dumping ingredients into tanks by following recipe instructions
Packing, weighing, sealing, and stacking of bags, boxes, and drums
Responsible for sanitation of equipment and quality of finished product

Grinding:

Consistently lift 55 pound boxes, sometimes heavier weights with teammates
Dump product into tanks to produce target product within parameters
Set up and sanitize equipment

Weighing:

Frequently lift 50 pounds, sometimes heavier weights with teammates
Weigh ingredients using assigned work order
Maintain accurate inventory

Packaging:

Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
Package product in all sizes and configurations and inspect quality
Follow special instructions in work order and production notes
Set up, disassemble, and sanitize packaging equipment

Qualifications:

EDUCATION

High School diploma, GED or other viable work experience is preferred.

SKILLS

Ability to do basic math; add, subtract, multiply, divide.
Ability to read, write and understand work orders in English.
Ability to obtain certification to operate powered industrial equipment.
Basic computer entry skills, preferred, to utilize computerized production software.
Able to communicate with others.
Ability to read and understand scale readings.
Ability to work accurately in a faced paced environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Must be able to remain in an upright position, while moving about the department.
Requires the ability to move and pour up to 80lbs with or without assistance.
Requires the ability to push/pull drums weighing up to 300lbs with or without assistance.
Requires the ability to ascend/descend stairs.
Requires the ability to work at heights above 20 ft.
Requires the ability to reach, grasp and scoop.
Requires the ability to bend, stoop and kneel.
Requires the ability to distinguish between colors.
Exposure to loud noises, water and dust and food allergens.
Works constantly in a manufacturing/production and/or warehouse environment.

Pay Range: USD $19.24 - USD $22.36 /Hr.
