Position Title: Food Prep Worker

Job Description: The Food Prep Worker is responsible for the meticulous preparation and portioning of food items while adhering to production requirements and maintaining Aramark's high sanitation standards. Utilizing daily worksheets and standardized recipes, this role ensures the timely cooking of meals.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare all food items according to prep lists and Aramark's standardized recipes.
• Adhere to proper food handling procedures to maintain food safety standards.
• Ensure the accurate rotation of food to uphold quality and freshness.
• Manage leftover foods appropriately by covering, labeling, dating, and storing them according to Aramark standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of refrigerators and work areas.
• Clean, sanitize, and organize stations at the end of each shift, including kitchen equipment.
• Create a safe and sanitary work environment that complies with all food safety regulations.
• Follow safety policies and procedures for reporting accidents.
• Complete all required training sessions.

Qualifications:

• Preferred minimum of one year of experience in food preparation or related food service roles.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques, proper knife handling, temperature control, and sanitation practices is beneficial.
• Ability to communicate effectively through reading and writing.
• Demonstrated basic math and counting skills.

This role may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking, and standing. Additionally, it may require the use of uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
