As an Electronic Security Technician at Solid Security, you'll be at the forefront of protecting our clients' assets and ensuring their peace of mind. This role is not just about installation; it's about making a real impact through your expertise and problem-solving abilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Install new fire detection, intrusion protection, surveillance, access control, and network infrastructure systems.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of existing systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Reviewing plans, specifications, and requirements necessary for proper cabling and system installation
  • Analyze and solve complex security system issues, providing reliable and effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with our engineering team to customize security solutions according to client needs.
  • Continually expands knowledge base by attending seminars, conferences, and professional training
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security technology and industry best practices.
  • Maintain company vehicle and manage truck stock
  • Maintain good customer relations and satisfaction

    Qualifications

    • Has 2 years of experience in the electronic security industry.
    • Possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a knack for troubleshooting various systems.
    • Holds training or certifications from recognized institutions such as the Electronic Security Association (ESA), Security Industry Association (SIA), and/or National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) - preferred, but not required.
    • Demonstrates excellent communication and customer service skills, able to explain complex systems in simple terms.
    • Is willing to continuously learn and grow, embracing new technologies and methodologies.
    • Naturally organized and methodical, with strong attention to detail
    • Maintain a clean and professional image
    • Must have a clean driving record

    Physical Requirements

    The Physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

    • Heavy lifting is required up to 75lbs
    • Long periods of constant standing
    • Able to utilize a ladder

    Expected hours of work

    • Typically, 40-50 hours a week, during normal business hours
    • Completes regular maintenance outside of normal business hours, typically one to two times a month.
    • Occasional work outside of typical hours to support special projects.
