We are seeking an Armed Security Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing security services to our clients and enforcing laws and regulations. The Armed Security Officer will patrol assigned areas, respond to alarms, investigate suspicious activities, and monitor access control systems. The ideal candidate must possess excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a valid firearms permit.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
- Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
- Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
- Circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property.
- Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances.
- Patrol industrial and commercial premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
Qualifications
- Ability to possess a valid security license
- Proficiency in conflict management techniques
- First aid certification
- Knowledge of law enforcement procedures
- Experience in surveillance operations
- Ability to perform CPR
- Military background is a plus
- Familiarity with CCTV systems
- Understanding of loss prevention strategies
