Job Description: We are currently seeking a Travel Medical Physicist to join our clients team in Texas on a contractual basis. The successful candidate will travel to different healthcare facilities nationwide to provide medical physics support and services. Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting quality assurance tests and equipment calibration for radiation therapy and diagnostic imaging equipment.
• Performing radiation shielding calculations and evaluations to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Providing on-site support and troubleshooting for radiation therapy treatment planning systems.
• Assisting with implementation and commissioning of new radiation therapy technology.
• Collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop and implement radiation safety protocols.
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation of all medical physics activities.

Qualifications:

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Medical Physics or related field.
• Board certification or eligibility in Medical Physics by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or equivalent certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in clinical medical physics.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work on short-term assignments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to different work environments.
• Proton Experience
• Texas license in hands prior to interviewing
