We are currently seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher to join our school district in Union City, California for the upcoming school year.

Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
• Valid teaching credential in Special Education (issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing) or eligibility for a California teaching credential through reciprocity
• Knowledge of local and state regulations governing special education services
• Experience working with special education students and families is highly preferred

Job Duties :

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities, ensuring goals and objectives are personalized to meet each student's needs and aligned with state standards
• Provide direct instruction using evidence-based practices, differentiated instruction, and assistive technology to support student learning and growth
• Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress, identify areas of need, and adjust instruction accordingly
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to create inclusive learning environments and promote student success
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress, attendance, and behavior in compliance with district and state regulations
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and other team meetings to review student progress, discuss goals, and plan interventions
• Provide guidance and support to paraprofessionals and other staff working with students with disabilities
• Stay informed about best practices, research, and trends in special education through professional development opportunities
