Job Title : Full-Time Special Education Teacher

Location : Plymouth, MN

Description : We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Special Education Teacher to join our team in Plymouth, MN.

You will work collaboratively with students, families, and colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field

Certifications :

• Minnesota State Teaching License with an endorsement in Special Education
• Additional certifications or endorsements in specific areas of special education (e.g., autism spectrum disorders, emotional / behavioral disorders) preferred
• CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities, tailoring instruction to meet their unique learning needs and goals
• Provide direct instruction in core academic subjects, social skills, and life skills, using evidence-based teaching strategies and differentiated instruction
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to ensure that students receive appropriate accommodations and supports in inclusive classroom settings
• Assess student progress regularly through formal and informal assessments, and use data to adjust instruction and interventions as needed
• Establish and maintain open communication with parents and caregivers, providing regular updates on student progress and soliciting feedback on their educational experiences
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, to develop and review students' educational goals and accommodations
• Stay current on best practices and research in the field of special education, and engage in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
