Minimum 1 years special education experience required.

We are currently seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher to join our school district in Columbus, Ohio for the upcoming school year.

Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
• Valid teaching certificate / license in Special Education (issued by Ohio Department of Education or reciprocity from another state)
• Familiarity with local and state regulations governing special education services
• Experience working with special education students and families is highly preferred

Job Duties :

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities, ensuring goals and objectives are tailored to individual student needs and aligned with state standards
• Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed to promote academic growth and skill development
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to create inclusive learning environments and facilitate student success
• Utilize assistive technology, adaptive materials, and other resources to support student learning and participation in the classroom
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress, attendance, and behavior according to district and state guidelines
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and other team meetings to review student progress, discuss goals, and plan interventions
• Provide guidance and support to paraprofessionals and other staff working with students with disabilities
• Stay current on best practices, research, and trends in special education through professional development opportunities
