Position: Special Education Teacher

Type: School-Based Contract

Job Description:

• Provide specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs, including those with disabilities, in a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique academic, social, and emotional needs of each student
• Utilize evidence-based teaching strategies and acmodations to support student learning and promote academic growth
• Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and families to foster a positive and inclusive school culture and ensure that students receive the support they need to succeed
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress, including assessment data, IEP goals, and intervention strategies

State Specific Requirements (Arkansas):

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
• Arkansas Department of Education certification in Special Education (K-12)
