Description :

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team for a contract position in Hyde Park, MA. This opportunity involves working with students in grades 1st through 4th, supporting their educational needs in accordance with their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).

Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
• Provide direct instruction and support to students in various academic subjects.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and other specialists to ensure the implementation of appropriate accommodations and modifications.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
• Communicate effectively with parents / guardians regarding student progress and goals.

Qualifications :

• Valid DESE certification in Moderate Disabilities PreK-8 or Severe Disabilities.
• Previous experience working with students with diverse learning needs preferred.
• Strong understanding of special education laws and regulations.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
