General Education Teachers (3 Positions) - Charleston, South Carolina

Pay Rate : $40 / hour, paid weekly

We are seeking three General Education Teachers for the upcoming 2024 / 25 school year in Charleston, South Carolina. These are full-time, onsite-only positions with weekly pay and benefits.

The openings are for primary (1st grade), secondary (4th-5th grade), and middle school social studies (6th-8th grade). The caseloads are manageable, with 16 students in primary and secondary, and 10 students in middle school social studies.

Available Positions :

1. Primary (1st Grade) Teacher

• Caseload : 16 students
• Teach core subjects, focusing on foundational skills and classroom management.

2. Secondary (4th-5th Grade) Teacher

• Caseload : 16 students
• Teach a combination of subjects, focusing on preparing students for middle school.

3. Middle School Social Studies Teacher (6th-8th Grade)

• Caseload : 10 students
• Teach social studies, encouraging critical thinking and interactive learning.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state standards and the school's curriculum.
• Assess student performance and provide feedback to guide learning and improvement.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a consistent approach to education.
• Communicate with parents / guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
• Participate in professional development and school events as required.

Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification for the state of South Carolina.
• Experience working with the respective grade levels is preferred.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and adapt to various teaching situations.

Additional Information :

These positions offer weekly pay at $40 per hour, along with comprehensive benefits. The contracts run from August 6, 2024, to May 29, 2025.
