Job Description:

As a Cardiovascular Operating Room Surgical Tech, you will play a vital role in supporting cardiac surgical procedures, ensuring the operating room is well-prepared, and assisting the surgical team throughout surgeries.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and organize the CVOR for surgical procedures, including setting up instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies.
• Assist surgeons, nurses, and other team members during cardiovascular surgeries.
• Maintain sterile fields, follow aseptic techniques, and ensure infection control measures.
• Monitor and troubleshoot surgical equipment as needed.
• Prepare and transport patients to and from the CVOR.
• Assist in the positioning of patients for procedures and apply sterile drapes.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide prompt assistance.
• Handle specimens and ensure accurate documentation.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential preferred.
• Previous experience as a CVOR Surgical Tech is a plus.
• Knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
