Description

Some of the things you will do in this position:

-Perform general mechanic maintenance activities in a team atmosphere to meet or exceed Solenis’ safety, environmental and production goals.

-This position keeps the production units and supporting facilities in the utmost reliable working condition.

-The General Mechanic is expected to use good judgment to make choices that will contribute to the overall plant efficiency, objectives and policies.

-Safety and all environmental issues are foremost in the overall consideration in forming these judgments.

-Position may require shift work and working weekends, holidays and occasional overtime.

The expected compensation for this position is $37.66 per hour plus discretionary bonuses.

Qualifications

Experience:

- Individuals must have greater than 5 years’ experience in a maintenance manufacturing environment.- Certification in welding, machinist, millwright, electrician, pipefitter, boilermaker or operating engineer. - Preferred not required, emergency response experience.

-High School Diploma or equivalent required.

- GM position will be awarded by seniority unless candidate has specific maintenance skills that meet the minimum requirements for the job.

While performing the duties of this job, the individual is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. - The individual frequently is required to stand, walk, or sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. - The individual must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. - Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
