Internship/Position Description:

SEIA is looking for a regulatory affairs law clerk to work with our federal regulatory department, working on energy, environmental, tax, and labor policy issues. The Law Clerk will have the opportunity to hone research and writing skills, strengthen communication skills, participate in SEIA meetings and events, improve networking skills, and address real-world regulatory and litigation issues affecting the solar and storage industry. A background in energy/environmental issues, administrative law, or in government is a plus.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Researching energy and environmental statutes, regulations, and guidance
  • Drafting pleadings, memos, and emails
  • Filing comments
  • Participating in calls and meetings
Requirements:

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Currently enrolled in rising 2L or 3L at an accredited law school
  • Organized, flexible, ability to multitask
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Westlaw/Lexis

Compensation:

This position pays $18/hour. The internship will start in Feburary through the beginning of May. For our internship Frequently Asked Questions, click here.

This position is 20-30 hours/week (If local to DC, interns MUST be in the office on designated team days and specifically on Wednesday for cohort touch base)
