Qualifications:
● Must hold a Master’s (minimum) degree in the field of Speech Therapy from an accredited program
● Meets the educational and experience requirements for a Certification of Clinical
Competence in speech pathology or audiology by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
● Licensed to practice Speech Therapy in the state of Arizona (required by start date)

More about the Speech - Language Pathologist Position:
● Conduct comprehensive bedside swallow evaluations for patients at risk of dysphagia
● Assess oral motor function, swallow reflexes, and coordination to determine the safest diet consistency and feeding strategies
● Develop and implement individualized dysphagia treatment plans based on assessment findings
● Perform cognitive assessments to evaluate memory, attention, executive function, and other cognitive domains
● Design and implement cognitive-communication interventions to address deficits identified in the cognitive assessment
● Conduct comprehensive aphasia evaluations to assess language comprehension, expression, reading, and writing abilities
● Develop and implement targeted aphasia treatment plans to improve communication
skills
● Adhere to state and federal regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures related to speech-language pathology services
