Solace Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc is Hiring a Hospice Volunteer Near Saint Charles, IL

Solace Hospice & Palliative Care, Inc is currently looking for caring and compassionate Hospice Volunteers.

Volunteers make a profound difference in an individuals' end-of-life journey through companionship and socialization. Examples of volunteer opportunities include reading to the patient, assisting with a hobby, listening, and running errands among others.

Training will be provided by Solace Hospice for interested parties.

VOLUNTEERS ARE NOT PAID EMPLOYEES AND DO NOT RECEIVE COMPENSATION FOR THEIR TIME.

Requirements:

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance, if traveling to make patient visits.
  • Must be able to pass background check requirements.
  • Most recent physical exam
  • TB test or chest-Xray

Schedule:

  • Choose your own hours. Most volunteers spend an average of 1-2 hours per visit.
  • Ability to commute

Work Location: Individual's home or skilled facility.
