Top 3 Required Skills -

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering. Master of Science preferred.
  • 5-10 years’ experience in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or verification and validation methods.
  • Familiarity with printed circuit assemblies and electrical test.

Home run/desired skills -

  • Experience with electronics test equipment: multimeter, oscilloscope, signal generator, spectrum analyzer and network analyzer.
  • Proven communication/interpersonal skills, self-motivated, and ability to be a strong team player.
  • Experience on executing integration and test activities following test processes and test procedures for electronic systems.

Job Title: Sr. Test Engineer II

Division/Department: Space Electronic Systems.

Position Reports To: Principal Test Engineer

They're on a mission to partner supporting DoD, Intelligence, and Civil space customers. They develop complex radiation effects mitigated designs that balance competing requirements in modern space programs, delivering cutting-edge solutions that enable their customers to achieve more in space.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform requirements verification activities through program life cycle.
  • Breaks down top level requirements into actionable design elements.
  • Supports product development lifecycle from requirements development, through design and implementation, and completing with verification and validation.
  • Perform electrical, software, and firmware testing activities through design and requirement verification.
  • Create verification plans and procedures.
  • Executes verification plans and procedures in an electronics lab environment.
  • Works independently or as part of a small team to complete assignments.
  • Works with cross functional design team to design, develop and test electronics systems.
  • Support interfacing disciplines such as firmware, mechanical, RF, hardware, integration & test, and program management.
  • Design and develop detailed test plans and procedures tailored to the specific requirements of space electronic systems, encompassing both functional and environmental testing parameters.
  • Conduct thorough functional testing of electronic components and systems to verify compliance with design requirements and specifications.
  • Perform a variety of environmental tests, including thermal vacuum testing, vibration, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing, to simulate the conditions of space and evaluate the performance of electronic systems.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Education/Certification: BS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering. Master of Science preferred.
  • Years of Experience: 5-10 years’ experience in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or verification and validation methods.
