Work as a team member supporting the USSPACECOM J31 Global Sensor Management Division. Software Engineering Services currently has an open requirement for a Missile Event Analyst. This position will provide primary support to USSPACECOM J31 producing missile event Quick Look Reports on all missile events detected by the System of Systems that make up the MW architecture. Perform the duties as system analyst on the evolving TMW and ITW/AA systems. Analysis responsibilities include providing analysis of real world events to warfighters. Participate in Theater Missile Warning Change Control Board (TMW CCB), Engineering and Operations Subgroups. Inform TMW, USSPACECOM leadership of critical requirements, anomalies and corrective actions as required. Perform data collecting and conduct an in-depth comparative analysis of legacy ITW/AA and legacy TMW TDP displays and data. Identify deficiencies; recommend improvements to the evolving TDPs. Provide SME support to USSPACECOM MW FMO on systems used in support of the TMW missions. Prepare and conduct various briefings to senior DoD personnel on assigned topics. Maintain and update TMW database using MS Access Perform duties as assistant COMSEC Responsible Officer. Maintain and configure tactical UHF satellite radios used in providing the JEWL EW data. Attend technical meetings at the request of the customer.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Missile Warning experience with Ground based MW radar operations, Space Based SBIRS/DSP, MGS, or Missile Warning Center. In-depth understanding of the missile warning sensors and communications architecture. Critical thinking and analytical skills are required to collect and process data, and produce accurate and timely reports. Must have the ability to multi-task and produce reports within time constraints. Must be computer savvy with the ability to pull data from multiple systems and architectures for compilation and reporting. Strong MS Office skills, particularly Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5-10 years of Missile Warning related experience in ITW/AA, TES, SEWS.
  • Familiar with one or more of the ITW/AA, TES, SEWS, architectures.
  • Prior staff experience at a Wing, Component Command or HHQ is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • certification highly desired or a willingness to obtain within six-months of hiring
