Video engineer

Loc: NYC, NY---Onsite from Day1--Need strictly locals

Duration: Long term contract(24 months)

Confirm Rate: $80/hr. on c2c or w2 or c2c

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Contractor will be responsible for providing technical and operational support to the team to ensure Project service and support service levels are met. Contractor will be working in an intensive, Customer-focused, schedule-driven environment and will have direct accountability for the technical correctness, timeliness and quality of all services performed.

Skills and responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following tasks:

• Coordinate Stakeholder equipment upgrades, such as access requests and equipment delivery and pickup. In conjunction with Stakeholder equipment upgrades, manage the Customer Stakeholder contact list.
• Serve as an escalation point of contact for the team (e.g., Level 1, end users, supervisors, etc.), including assisting with video escalations.
• Assist with preparing Architectural Engineering Review Board ( AERB ) documentation.
• Assist in providing project and Information Management Systems ( IMS ) updates.
• Assist in reconciling camera counts.
• Help manage service, change and account requests. Serve as a back-up and provide support to Technical Support Services ( TSS ), as needed.
• Provide technical and administrative support to the Digital Video System ( DVS ) Team.
• Focus on continuous process improvement and Customer satisfaction.
• Maintain knowledge of relevant technologies and standards.
• Create documentation and reports, as directed.
• Answer ad hoc requests for information on short timeline.
• Assist with Genetec system administration, as necessary.

Personnel shall possess the following requirements, skills and attributes:

• Bachelor s Degree required.
• Related past work experience in a customer facing technical support role.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Ability to demonstrate effective problem-solving skills.
• Experience with mobile devices preferred (phones, tablets, etc.).
• Experience demonstrating a proactive approach in response to daily activities.
