Job Summary:

Soft Touch Mobile Labs is seeking an experienced and dedicated In-Office / Mobile Phlebotomist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate and skilled professional who is committed to delivering exceptional patient care and upholding the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Perform blood draws and other phlebotomy procedures on patients safely, accurately, and efficiently.
• Collect, label, and transport blood samples to the laboratory in compliance with established protocols.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all blood draws, ensuring the integrity and traceability of patient samples.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers, fostering a positive and welcoming environment.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the timely and appropriate collection of blood samples for diagnostic testing and treatment purposes.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to maintain the highest standards of quality and safety in phlebotomy practices.
• Punctual and reliable with excellent attendance.
• Be proficient in Newborn Screens.

Qualifications:

• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in phlebotomy techniques and practices, including specimen collection, handling, and transport.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with laboratory procedures and protocols.
• Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance in phlebotomy practices.
• Ability to work with minimal to no supervision after the training period.
• Excellent computer skills and proficiency in using laboratory information systems.
• Strong physical and mental stamina to perform phlebotomy procedures safely and efficiently.
• Phlebotomy certification or 5 years experience.
• A minimum of one year of experience as a phlebotomist in a clinical setting.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Proficient in venipuncture techniques, sample handling, and laboratory procedures.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, to meet the needs of patients and healthcare providers.
• A valid driver's license is absolutely necessary for this position.
• Working knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) systems, including experience with patient registration, order entry, and results reporting.

This engagement represents an on-call, per diem contractual position that does not include any benefits. The contractor is not guaranteed a minimum number of work hours or days per week.

The anticipated workweek for this position is approximately 16 to 20 hours, subject to adjustments based on the employer's requirements.

The contractor assumes responsibility for transportation to and from the job site.
